this is a site to get some thoughts together to hammer out the creation of alive on earth.

this is a place hold for thoughts and ideas that are being bounced around for a 21st century non profit that will help create community leaders who can navigate 21st century tools.

Vision Statement / Mission: Alive on Earth distributes local stories from around the world via video and the internet. We provide communities who are under-served or might otherwise be passive subjects of international news coverage, with access to equipment, training, and a platform to tell their stories to the world in a frame of their own choosing.

Noel's initial thoughts...

polish training manuals for creating a monthly video magazine and weekly video news clips. establish framework within one urban youth community by use material gathered from the luck of seven trip to build a weekly blog that documents people, places and concepts of the 21st century. this vlog will be used as a basis to explain Alive on Earth's values and developing projects... a film will be created to showcase the community's skills, and establish global community participation.

work with currently established courseware that teaches urban youth to create a video magazine that will address their issues. this courseware should be universally adaptable to any culture and should strive to use off the shelf open source applications. first starting in the Americas with urban youth, this program will branch out to other urban communities (initial consideration - london / paris muslim communities, palestinian refugees in cairo/egypt, young technology teachers in cambodia).

initial thoughts that have yet to be reincorporated
